Oliver's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more materials for his tailoring business.
Oliver is 21 years old and lives in the town of Namutumba in the Iganga region of Uganda. For the past 3 years, Oliver has been working hard to manage tailoring and sell clothes. To help expand his business, Oliver has requested a loan of 600,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more materials for the business, and will help Oliver to generate greater profits and pay tuition for his sister. Oliver hopes that, in the future, he will be able to buy a plot of land and build a house. Oliver is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to microfinance loans, the program provides both a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities and a forum for life-skills training.
