Lorenzo's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to pay for auto insurance and vehicle maintenance costs to keep his vehicle running smoothly.
After a long career in the engineering industry, Lorenzo retired at the age of 65, and decided he wanted to take his work life in a different direction. For 10 years, the Korean War veteran has owned Mr. “C” Tours and Transportation service, located in New Orleans. The French Quarter, Metairie Cemetery and the Aubudon Zoo are just a few of the places that Mr. “C” Tours and Transportation will go. Lorenzo says he can take his passengers anywhere in the New Orleans area and give the history lesson of a lifetime. “I came to Louisiana when I was just 27 years old,” Lorenzo said. “I have learned a great deal about the history of this city, and boy, is there a lot to tell.” Lorenzo’s day starts at 10 a.m. and ends at midnight. Throughout his workday, he is dropping off and picking up customers at the local airport and scheduling tours with passengers. “The touring business is exciting, because you get to meet people from all over the world,” Lorenzo said. Lorenzo sought out Accion Texas Inc. to help pay for his auto insurance and vehicle maintenance costs. “Without Accion, I would not be able to continue running my business,” Lorenzo said. “All these years I have been opening the door for clients and someone finally came and opened the door for me. I am truly grateful.”
