Hakilissiguiton 1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds, agricultural inputs, small agricultural equipment and to pay the labour costs for cultivating and weeding.

Hakilissiguiton 1 Group's story

The 10 members of the Hakilissiguiton 1 group are married women with an average age of 30 and, on average, 3 children. They all live in traditional families in Sincina-Sesso, one of the villages in Koutiala, the third administrative region of Mali. They are working with the MFI Soro Yiriwaso in order to be able to carry out their agricultural activities during the rainy season. This is their 9th loan from the institution, and they have properly repaid their previous loans. Sitan Seydou, sitting in the middle of the picture, grows maize. She plans to use her loan to buy agricultural inputs, seeds and small agricultural equipment, and to pay the labour costs for cultivating and weeding 2 hectares of land. After the harvest, the produce will be sold in the village and in Koutiala to a varied clientèle. She expects to make an average monthly profit of 265 000 francs per crop cycle. This profit will allow her to repay her loan and to support her husband with the daily expenses.
