Gulkair's story

Gulkair is 39 years old, married and a mother of 5 children. Gulkair has a secondary education. To provide the primary source of income for her family, Gulkair has been involved in agriculture since 1996, starting this business with 15,000 som (KGS). Her business contains 1 dairy cow, 1 calf and 1 horse, and a 1.0 hectare land plot, where she annually plants potatoes, cereal crops and sainfoin for farm use and sale. Gulkair also sells milk, dairy products, meat and livestock at a local market. Thanks for Gulkair's hard work, her business yields about 15,000 som (KGS) per month. In order to further develop her business, Gulkair requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum" Bank to buy livestock to increase her income from sales of milk and meat. Gulkair plans to invest the earnings from the loan into further growing her business and saving money to build a barn for the livestock in the future.
