Maria Emilia's story
Maria Emilia is 66 years old. She's single and no longer has dependent children. She lives in the community of San Lorenzo in southern Honduras. She has her own house and has been in business selling clothes for 14 years. Maria Emilia performs her sales as an ambulant vendor in the outskirts of the new market. She is a hardworking person with a desire to succeed. She also wants to sell fruits and plastic products as well. Maria Emilia is requesting a loan to purchase clothing such as undergarments, bras, skirts, dresses, shirts, and fruits that are in season because she wants to begin selling fruits. She wants to invest in these goods because the season for outdoor markets is approaching. Maria Emilia expects that this investment will allow her to improve her income and quality of life. One of her dreams it to improve her house. San Lorenzo, Honduras - July 2014
