Mujeres Unidas Group's story
The Mujeres Unidas Group is in its sixth loan cycle with the women's communal bank program. They are doing a survey on the elimination of poverty, which will allow them to improve their living conditions through their effort and work. On of the group's members is Nelida, who has a well-stocked small grocery store in her home, which she has been building up through a lot of hard work. She tells us that in the beginning it was very hard for her, but that she has been making progress and now she has a very good clientele. She is requesting this loan to buy various supplies for her small grocery store, such as meat, drinks, dairy products, baked goods, and more, and thereby maintain her sales as she has been. She is thankful for the help she is receiving, as it will be very helpful to her.
