Ndeye's Group's story
This group of 33 women belongs to the village finance group created on October 24th, 2012. The group is composed of women living in one village and its area. The women get along very well. Most of them are in retail. Nogoye, the group’s star borrower, is standing to the right in the picture and raising her hand. She is 38 years old. She is married and mother to one daughter. She plans to do sewing. She will purchase seven sheets of fabrics costing 3,000 XOF each, and sew them herself, for which she will purchase three spools of thread at 2,500 apiece. She retails finished sheets for 9,000 XOF cash or 13,000 with financing. She uses her profits to take care of her needs and grow her business. She provides for her daughter, who goes to school.
