Fatoumata Amadou's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy "quinte" mangos by the carton to the value of 15,000FCFA and at the weekly international market cartons of pineapple to the value of 13,500FCFA each.

Fatoumata Amadou's Group's story

The Banc Villageois was set up on 10th December 2012 and is made up of women who share the same social values and aspire to improve their living conditions. They all live in the same village and most of have small trading activities and also practise farming in the rain. Fatoumata (who is standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised) is the star borrower. She is married, 24 years of age and mother to four children: two girls and two boys. She is a very enterprising woman and sells fruit around the central market in the municipality. She has been doing this for more than six years and has great experience in the field. With her new loan she is planning to buy "quinte" mangos by the carton to the value of 15,000FCFA and, at the weekly international market, cartons of pineapple at 13,500FCFA each. The profits she makes will, on the one hand, enable her to help out her husband more with the daily expenses, and on the other, to boost her savings so she can increase her financial capacity.
