Ndeye Ndieme's Group's story

This group of 28 members is part of the "banc villageois" loan association that was created October 22, 2012. It includes women who know each other well and who are involved in fattening livestock and retail commerce. 44-year-old Coumba is standing in the photo and raising her hand. She is married and has five children, including a daughter. She intends to fatten sheep. She will buy two sheep at 15,000 each. She fattens them for four months for resale at 50,000 francs each. For the livestock's food requirements, she buys 10,000 francs worth of hay. Her husband being elderly, she supports him in taking care of the family's food, clothing and health requirements.
