Amy's Group's story

This group of 28 women are members of a banc villageois that was created on December 12, 2009. It is made up of members who live in the same village and surrounding area. They all get along well together and support each other. Their principal activities are commerce and raising livestock. Ngore is 52 years old. She is standing at the right side of the photo and is waiving her hand. She is married and has eight children, three of whom are boys. She raises cattle to earn income. She is going to use the loan to buy a steer for 150,000 XOF, as well as to buy some vaccines and cattle feed. She will use the cattle feed to fatten the steer. She hopes to resell the steer for 180,000 XOF. With the profit she makes she is going to buy some goats to raise, but she is also going to keep some of the profit as savings at the banc villageois level.
