Night's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a Baby Lock machine for sewing.

Night's story

Night is 40 years old and lives in the town of Zana in the Kampala West region of Uganda. She is married and has three children, with none of them currently in school. For the past three years, Night has been working hard to manage her tailoring business, in which she sews sweaters, bed covers and caps. To help expand her business, Night has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy a Baby Lock machine for sewing equipment, and will help Night to generate greater profits and improve her standards of living. Night hopes that in the future, she will be able to build rental houses. Night is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Night who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for micro-loans.
