Shalom Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy provisions such as milo, milk, sugar, margarine and tea-bags to sell.
Shalom Group's story
Shalom is a group of seven people, whose members are friends and belong to the same savings group. They are into soft drinks, pepper, bean and gari, children wear, provisions, manicure and pedicure. Lydia is the representative for the group and is 58 years old. She is single and she has grown up children who are not dependent on her. To meet her needs, Lydia has been selling provisions such as milo, milk, sugar, margarine and tea-bags at her residence for the past eight years. She gets her supplies from wholesalers. To expand her business and become more competitive in this field, Lydia wishes to increase her stock of products, which in turn will enable her to increase her turnover and income. For this reason, Lydia is requesting a sixth loan from ID-Ghana, together with other members of the Shalom group. All her previous loans have been fully repaid.
