Seang's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy fertilizer and rice seeds and to pay for land plowing fees.
Seang's Group's story
A villager from Battambang province, Seang is a 59 year-old married woman and also a mother of ten children. She currently has two children dependent on her and she struggles to earn a living for them through her two hectares of rice farming. The average income for her family is only 34,500 KHR per day. This is the seventh loan cycle for Seang, and the first cycle for her co-borrower from Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. In a group of two, they are applying for a loan of 1,000,000 KHR each. As the leader, Seang plans to use her share of the loan to buy fertilizer and rice seeds and to pay for land plowing fees. She believes that the loan will pave a way for her family to be able to live in better conditions.
