A loan helped to buy a new oven, machinery and pans for his bakery.

Bismarck Augusto's story

In the streets of Granada, people speak highly of the bakery belonging to Bismarck, who is kind and hardworking and has a strong desire to get ahead. Bismarck is 45 years old, married, and has two children, ages 12 and 4. Bismarck's children motivate him to work hard to get ahead and to provide them with an education and a financially-secure home. Bismarck has for eight years continued the family's tradition of passion for baking, ever since he inherited the bakery from his mother-in-law. Every day this very close-knit family makes a wide variety of desserts, breads and pastries. Bismarck, along with his wife and mother-in-law, has many dreams for the business, including expanding into other departments, such as Masaya. However, to do so they need to increase their income, and it is for this reason Bismarck is requesting this loan to buy a new oven, machinery and pans. He hopes to produce more bread, of higher quality, and with better hygiene. Bismarck dreams of one day expanding to all of the departments of the country, but for now he would like to expand to all of the market of Granada.
