José Alejandro's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to farm 2 hectares of sorghum, to prepare the land, to buy fertilizers and to pay the labor costs.
José Alejandro's story
José is 25 years old and studied until the sixth grade. He has two small children; his wife takes care of the household chores, so only she and the two children depend on José. José farms land along with his father and brothers, growing basic grains (corn and beans). He learned to carry out this work when he was very young. As well as this he works as a day laborer. To arrive at the land José has to walk for one kilometer. He also owns 5 cows which he has to feed and milk in the mornings. He needs the loan to farm 2 hectares of sorghum, to prepare the land, to buy fertilizers and to pay labor costs. José's wishes for the future are to have a better quality of life for him and his family, to have a greater production of basic grains and to live comfortably in a decent place, so that his children can continue studying and become professionals.
