Bahari Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy stones, soap and a stock of fish for her business.
Bahari Group's story
Mayasa is a 60-year-old mother who is married and has five grown children. She is a hardworking African mother who dreams of changing her family's life. For six years now, Mayasa has managed to support her family with three small businesses: concrete where she buys one truck of stones and brick for concrete. Second is a soap business reselling on credit and lastly a fish business. She manages all of her businesses herself and operates from 6 am to 6 pm daily. She is able to make a good profit each month. From Tujijenge Tanzania, this is her eighth loan request. She will use the loan to buy stones, soap and fish for her businesses. She used the previous loans, all of which she paid back successfully, to improve her soap business with enough stock and replenished her fish business with more fish. Mayasa received a profit that she used to cover household expenses together with keeping some aside for unforeseen events. She dreams that one day she will be able to build a nice family house. Mayasa will share this loan with her loan group "Bahari", which includes seven members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
