A loan helped to use improved seed to establish a pasture.

Irma Sobeida's story

For a long time, Doña Irma has needed to obtain financing to improve her parcel of land from which she obtains her income, but she has had a certain fear, since she flees from debts, and she has been giving it maintenance little by little. Now she has been encouraged by her husband, who is a small rancher. They work together. In spite of the fact that they are united, they need to improve the pasture to give good nutrition to their livestock so that they put on a good amount of weight by the time of sale so that they will be well paid. In addition, with a good pasture, the milk cows give a greater quantity of milk for their monthly income. Thus this loan would be a great benefit to them, since they need it to buy the improved seed, prepare the land, and pay for labor to take advantage of the rainy season and plant the seed that will become a rich and nutritious food for the livestock. Doña Irma has three children who are in primary school, and so she has to underwrite these costs in addition to the basic expenses of the household. For this reason, she can't take on the planned investment, and so it is worthy of financing.
