Conie Group's story
Cornelia is the featured borrower of Conie Group. She joined with the other group members to acquire a loan from Kiva's field partner, Al Majmoua, because they have always been friends since they left their hometown in the Philippines seeking a better income to support their families. Cornelia is a 50-year-old widowed mother of three. She came to Lebanon to work as a housekeeper after her husband passed away. She wanted to provide her beloved children a better living, so she seeks to work hard and unite with them in the future. Her acquired loan will be sent to her family in Philippines to cover home maintenance expenses after a disastrous tornado hit their village and destroyed a big part of their house. Cornelia is the first lady from the right with a red top, Jonavie is the second from the right, Akinha is the second lady from the left with a white veil, and Jennifer is the first from the left.
