Al- Ma 22 Group's story

This group is called Al- Ma 22. It consists of five women, from Taiz, Yemen. They are hardworking and enterprising women. They took a loan of 340,000 YER from AMB. Huda is a 34-year-old married woman and mother of four children, living in a rented house in Taiz, Yemen. She is the leader of the group. Huda's husband is an employee in the private sector and earns a small salary. Huda studied till the Elementary school. She couldn't complete her studies, but she is a very dynamic and active woman. Huda works as a housewife. She has a lot of house work. Her house lacks many home appliances such as a washing machine. Huda always washes the family's clothes by hand. This work makes her very tired. She asked her husband to buy a washing machine for the house. Unfortunately, her husband's income is not enough to cover all the expenses of the family. For this reason, Huda applied for a loan of 80,000 YER from AMB, in order to buy a washing machine to help her wash the clothes, as well as to purchase other home appliances. Huda looks forward to furnishing the house for her family. Also, she hopes to provide her children with a secure future.
