Claver's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to maintain one Manzana of cacao [about 1.7 acres].
Claver, 38, is knowledgeable about farming and raising cattle. He has put this knowledge into practice on his land, growing tubers, beans and mostly cacao. He also has a small herd of cattle. Claver needs to improve the productivity of the land where he grows his cacao. He asks for a loan because he doesn't have the money to make this investment. It is very important for him to buy chemicals, organic compost, and to contract 4 workers for a season. Now that his two grown sons have their own homes, they don't help him anymore. He only has the help of his two youngest, who are in school in the mornings, and his wife who also has to manage the home and their small farm that she inherited from her family.
