María Ramona's story
The credit group "La Estancia" meets every two weeks in the Estancilla del cantón Tosagua. This place is known for being very dynamic, most of its inhabitants work in agriculture and animal husbandry, as it is an area with lots of vegetation. This is where Maria lives. She is 67 years old, and is married, from this relationship has a grown-up daughter who lives at home with her son. Her husband is retired. Doña Maria and her family have a business in which they all work, they have a bazaar and stationery shop in their home, which they've had for more than 30 years. There they sell clothes, shoes, perfume, cards, gift items, plus all kinds of school supplies and items for students She works alongside her beloved husband, who because of his age had to retire, but thanks to this business they are able to get ahead. This loan is going to be used to buy clothes, shoes, perfume, jewelry, cosmetics, creams and school supplies. From the beginning Maria has enjoyed working with this credit group because the loans are fast with low interest. Her dream is to continue with her business.
