A loan helped to buy three pigs.

Abra's story

Abra is a widow and the mother of four children. She is 46 years old and has been running a business selling pork and "gari" mash (made from manioc or cassava flour) since 1992. In the interest of her children's education and to earn money, Abra dedicates more than 45 hours a week to her business. Her welcoming approach means that her customer base is growing, and she buys supplies three times a month to meet demand. In order to reduce transport costs and increase her turnover, Abra is requesting this loan to help her buy three pigs. The income will help her prepare for her children's forthcoming return to school at the start of the year.
