Aksante Mungu Group's story
Nyamuhirwa has been selling used shoes for two years and is a member of the Aksante Mungu businesss group. A young entrepreneur, she is 26 years old, married, and a mother of three children. Three of the children go to school while the fourth is still an infant. Nyamuhirwa started her business with funds from her husband, who is also a merchant. She makes her sales in a central town market. She is seeking a loan with Hekima so that she can expand her business. She is going to buy 57 pairs of shoes [with her portion of the loan]. In the future, she wishes to feed and educate her children. Nyamuhirwa thanks Hekima for choosing to support female entrepreneurs, who are excluded from the traditional banking system and who lack collateral; especially during this period of post-conflict in the east of the country.
