José Leocadio's story
José is 43 years old. He went to school until the third grade. At the time that he went to school, studying required great sacrifice due to his parents' mentality, who said that no one survives by writing. So, they told him it was better to work than go to school. He has a partner, and she takes care of the household tasks. The older children help him with the chores that they do, while the younger ones go to school. He is a farmer, and since the age of four, his father encouraged him on the good road to be a good and productive person. The area where he lives is completely agricultural, and he works growing corn, rice, and sorghum. He also has cattle, he milks two cows that helps him have milk and curd. His work is near his home, so he doesn't need any means of transportation to get to work. He works with his brothers, and their work schedule is from 5:00 until 12:00 midday. He needs the loan to purchase a team of steer to be able to work with them in the farm; the loan will allow him to achieve the productivity that he wants to have. He dreams first of being able to have the basic necessities for his family, and that his children learn the good examples and that they have a better way of earning a living in work and, because of this, he is ready to help his children so that they go to school.
