They are selling slippers, provisions, brooms, sponges, towels, and fish. Gifty is a 42-year-old married woman with two dependent children. Twelve years ago, Gifty started selling slippers. She started selling this item to increase her income and improve her living conditions. Gifty is working hard to develop this business as much as she can, to increase her business capital, and attract new customers. For this reason, Gifty is acquiring a loan from Kiva partner ID-Ghana, to increase her business merchandise with newly-released slippers that will develop her business. She is now well-known in her region and she is working hard to participate in serving many customers. Gifty is the woman standing second from right in the picture. Together with her friends, they will need a total amount of GHS 4,900 to increase stocks of slippers.
