Flor Pensamiento Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase stucco in bulk.

Flor Pensamiento Group's story

The "Flor Pensamiento" community group is beginning their third loan with Pro Mujer as part of the Villa Adela focal center. It is made up of 8 members and is directed by a board of directors, of which Bertha is the president. The businesses that the members run are varied and include stucco sales, skirt sales, vegetable sales, construction services, lamb meat sales, markets, and natural healing. The loan that they are taking out will benefit the small businesses of which Bertha is a member. She tells us that she joined Pro Mujer two years ago after a friend, who is a member of the institution, invited her. She currently has a business selling stucco. She started this business many years ago, when she worked in a stucco business. Some time passed and she decided to open her business independently with a small amount of capital. The loan that she is taking out is to increase her working capital (purchase stucco in bulk). She will purchase the stucco in communities in La Paz and will later sell it in her store. This type of work allows her to generate the resources that she needs to support her family, since she is married with one son. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responded that she likes the loan and the health focus that the institution offers.
