Yohanna Yalile's story
The credit group Familia Con Suerte [Lucky Family] meets every 15 days in the neighborhood of Miraflores, in the city of Manta. Manta is known for its beautiful beaches which are visited year-round, and for being a city of unequaled beauty with many tourist attractions. This is where Yohanna lives. She is 31 years old and is in a common-law marriage. She has two daughters, one of whom is 10 years old and is in school, and the other is an 8-month-old baby. Her husband is a taxi driver. Yohanna is a very good wife who is getting the loan so that her husband can make repairs to his taxi which is not in very good condition. The doors need to be repaired to provide better service to his customers. The taxi is his source of income to provide for his family. He has been driving for more than 10 years, working day after day for the sake of his family. Yohanna has been a member of the credit group since its inception and she likes it because it allows her to help her husband get ahead. Her dream is to buy a new taxi.
