A loan helped to buy corn and firewood wholesale.
María Vicenta's story
María is 40 years old and has had no education. She is married and her husband works as a labourer. Two children go to school and the other two are working. María has a business making tortillas and has done this for 19 years. She learnt this out of the necessity to bring her children up and give them what they needed so they could have an education and be able to make a living on their own. She works in her tortilla business from 4am to 9am every day from Monday to Sunday. She needs the loan to buy corn and firewood which she will buy wholesale so that it works out cheaper. This will meet her needs as she will have everything she needs for her own life and her family's. María's dream is to keep her business going and to make more income so her family can live better. She wants to continue working with the institution.
