Teodulo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy manure, seeds, herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers, and to pay for the labor to prepare the land he will cultivate.
Teodulo, age 34, studied through the first grade, due to the fact that he is the eldest of five children in his family and he had to work to help his parents. He is in a long-term relationship; his partner works taking care of the home. Three of his children are students. This is how his household is composed. Teodulo has worked in agriculture since he was ten years old. He learned this line of work from his parents. At this point in time, he has worked in a sugarcane field for five years. In order to get to work he has to walk 30 minutes. His workday begins at 4:30 a.m. and his shift lasts seven hours. In the afternoons he does his own work. This loan will be invested in the purchase of manure, seeds, herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers, and to pay for the labor to prepare the soil where he will plant. Teodulo dreams that his children will keep studying, and that he will build his own brick house. He also dreams of being able to pay off his loan on time. The wood in the picture is used for family consumption and not for sale. He took the photo here because his crop was not yet harvested.
