A loan helped To build a greenhouse.

Nato's story

Nato is a 45-year-old married woman, from the village Mitsabogira. She lives with her son and mother, who gets monthly assistance from the local government. Nato is involved in agricultural activities. Particularly, she takes care of 3 dairy cows, produces cheese and milk and uses the products for local trading. Nato generates approximately 350 Gel monthly, and this income is hardly enough for covering all of their daily costs. She applied for a loan several times but couldn’t obtain one from the local financial institutions, because of their requirements to have business experience or stable revenue, until the Start Up program began which is a joint product of Kiva and Credo. The program allows rural poor people, such as Nato, to have a chance to start or re-start a business. With the requested money, Nato will build a greenhouse, plant vegetables and greens and then sell them in the local market. The family's living conditions will significantly improve, and the family will have enough income to access regular credit products available on the country’s capital market, in case of need. Nato awaits your support.
