A loan helped to buy guinea pigs for her business.
Apu Marcasunay Group's story
The members belong to the "APU MARCASUNAY" communal bank, which is located the Lamy district of Calca province in the department of Cusco. The member in question is Gabina who still breeds small animals such as guinea pigs. She wants to be able to carry on working so she can continue to support her family. She has worked in this field for some time now and derives both financial and personal satisfaction from it. When she has bred her animals she then sells them to her customers. She wants to be able continue with this work so she can continue to support her family. Gabina is seeking this loan to buy guinea pigs for her business. The other members of the communal bank sell handicrafts, vegetables or meat or work as porters, labourers, farmers, small animal breeders or motor taxi drivers. The lady who has her face hidden on the photo is not a member of the communal bank. The member who has her baby on her back is Luz Marina who hid at the moment the photo was taken. Gabina thanks all those who are helping her to achieve her ambition and promises to make her repayments within the deadline.
