A loan helped to purchase traditional clothing.

María's story

María is a married 36-year-old woman. She lives with her four children in the Department of Solola. She says that she sells traditional clothing including traditional woven blouses and skirts. She chose this business activity because her mother taught her as a child. Now that her mother has died, she continued with this business. It is quite profitable in terms of the revenue it generates. She now has realized that this product has an increasingly high demand which is why she is requesting a loan of 3,500.00 Guatemala quetzals for the purchase of traditional clothing. She will be able to offer a variety of styles and colors to her customers. One of the dreams that María has is to increase profits and expand her business and distribute it to other parts of the country.
