Dionosia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a freezer.

Dionosia's story

Dionisia is 56 years old. She is married and is proud to have brought up 4 children, who live with her in her own house. She has a small ice cream factory which is currently her main source of income. She has 30 years' experience and says that initially she made her popular "Don Agustín" ice creams in a traditional way by hand, but through her work she managed to equip her small factory with special machines so that she could improve the quality of her products. She uses local fruits to prepare her delicious ice creams so that she has a connection with the area, as well as attracting her end customers who buy her products from the retail ice cream vendors she supplies. In the long term she hopes to open subsidiary production points in other districts in the local area so her brand can become well known and she can establish herself as a major ice cream producer in her local area. This is the third loan she has requested from Kiva and she is grateful for the opportunity provided so she can make progress in life. On this occasion she hopes to have 2,000 nuevos soles to buy a new freezer and expand her ice cream production.
