Ushirika Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy materials to make suits and dresses and to buy sewing equipment for the sewing shop.
Ushirika Group's story
Herieth, who is in her early 30's, is married with two children who are still at school. She has been a tailor and has a tailoring equipment shop. She has been in her business for six years now. She works from 8 AM to 6 PM daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be Herieth's eighth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy nice materials to make nice dresses and suits. She also bought sewing equipment for the shop and has managed to pay back all her loans successfully. She is doing great with her loan and appreciates Kiva for the support. She used the profit to pay for school fees, to cover household expenses, and to build a small house. She will use this loan to make suits and dresses and to buy sewing equipment for the sewing shop Herieth will share this loan with her loan group, Ushirika, which has six members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
