Evelyn's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more rice by the bag, oil, pepper, Vita, fish, meat, etc., for her business.

Evelyn's story

31-year-old Evelyn is married to a farmer and did not have the opportunity to attend school. She has 6 children aged from 3 to 12, and only five of her children attend school. They all live at home. She describes herself as hard working. Evelyn lives in Nimba, a county in Liberia that shares a border with Guinea and Cote D’Ivoire. Because of its status as a border county, trade is the primary activity in the region. It also has the second highest population in Liberia. Evelyn has a cook shop (restaurant) business which sells rice and soup for the past two years now. She works 10 hours at her business. Her greatest challenge in her business is complaints from her customers about her food prices. She intends to use the loan to buy more rice by the bag, oil, pepper, Vita (a soft drink), fish, meat, etc., for her business. She started her business with money from her mother. She likes her business because she makes more profit. She hopes to one day to build a house.
