Nidia Xiomara's story

Nidia Xiomara is a kind, cheerful woman from Puerto Cabezas, who is 21 years old, married and has a baby son, 22 months old. Four years ago she used to work as a street vendor selling dairy drinks and iced beverages from a food cart at municipal schools. Thanks to funding through the Pana Pana solidarity group and profits she made she was able to build a small wood annex onto her house to open a grocery store a year ago. She is currently requesting a loan to buy goods for her business such as 12 bags of dairy drinks, toilet tissue, sanitary napkins, instant soup, basic grains, instant coffee, bath soap, detergent, a quintal of rice, a quintal of sugar, disposable diapers, powdered milk, three bags of salt, tooth paste, batteries, chicken, ground meat, oil, and bread. Her goal is to continue expanding and to build a concrete house.
