Alicia Marlene's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy merchandise (shoes for women and children, sandals, shorts, camisoles, blouses, skirts, and dresses, among other items).
Alicia Marlene's story
Alicia Marlene is a young 20 year-old business woman who is married with a one and a half year-old son. She is originally from Puerto Cabezas, and is very entrepreneurial. Her husband is also a small business owner. Approximately 7 years ago she began her own business selling shoes and new clothing in the city market where she rents a space. She is asking for her first loan in order to buy merchandise (shoes for women and children, sandals, shorts, camisoles, blouses, skirts, and dresses, among other items). She buys her merchandise in Managua in order to sell it at more accessible prices in Bilwi. Her dream is for her business to continue growing, to study sewing and to make her own uniforms and gowns and to sell her products in her store. She wants to begin creating a savings fund for the education of her child so that he can be an honest professional.
