Adalberto's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy beef, chicken and fish in a larger volume.
Adalberto is 48 years old. He started his business 12 years ago, taking advantage of his experience as an assistant at a butcher shop in a business in the town he lives. He lives with his spouse and their two daughters, aged 6 and 8. Among the products he offers are beef, chicken and fish. He sells retail and gets paid in cash in his store. He works Monday through Saturday from 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Adalberto buys from wholesalers who distribute meat in the city of Barranquilla. That way, he able to offer special prices in the market to his customers, who are the residents and stores in the neighborhood near his business. He immediate goal is to increase his sales to selling 2 whole beef a day, because in the future, his goal is to remodel his house. Right now, he is applying for a Kiva loan, the first loan he has taken out with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With it, he will buy beef, chicken and fish in a greater volume. He will sell this latest product. Sales will increase during Holy Week. He plans on being able to respond to his customers so he can achieve his biggest challenge, which is gaining their loyalty with good service, a fresh product and very good prices. This will make his Kiva loan very successful.
