Juán Vicente's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to increase his coffee production.
Juán Vicente's story
Juán Vicente, 68, is married. He lives with his wife who is his top priority. With his loan, he intends to buy fertilizers to apply at the beginning of the rainy season, fungicides, and to pay laborers for their work on his coffee crops. He will also buy plants from seedlings to replant at the start of the rains. He aims to increase plant density on his farm while taking advantage of the good soil fertility, climate, and other conditions that are favorable for the cultivation of coffee. With these improvements to the crop, he expects some profits to improve the lives of his family and invest a little more in agriculture to meet his goals. It is the first loan he has received from FUDECOSUR. He has not had a loan from national banks but FUDECOSUR has offered a loan with better terms and interest rates.
