A loan helped to process more mobile phone credit sales on the weekends.

Eko's story

Eko lives north of Bogor, about two hours from Jakarta. He manages a small shop selling mobile phone airtime credit. Eko is married and lives with three persons in the family home. Eko joined Ruma one month ago because he was interested in selling mobile phone airtime credit. With assistance and support from Ruma’s staff, Eko sees improvements in his shop. For the last month, he has earned an average of $17 - $18 per day in mobile phone airtime credit sales. He hopes to get a Kiva loan as working capital to process more transactions on the weekends. His goal for his business is to expand and have more new business in the future.
