Sirush's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to pay for 15 colonies of bees.
Sirush lives in Aygut village of Gegharquniq region with her husband and three children. Sirush's husband drives taxi using his own car. Sirush and her husband are also involved in agriculture. They are mainly involved in beekeeping and currently own 35 colonies of bees. Sirush keeps 2 cows, 6 sheep and also cultivates corn, haricot and potato. She gets high quality honey and sells it locally. As agribusiness is very important source of income for this family, they would like to enlarge it. By applying for this loan of USD 1500 Sirush plans to purchase 15 colonies of bees and enlarge honey production. As this is Sirush's first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history. Sirush and her whole family wait for lenders' support.
