Gohar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to pay for fertilizer and forage for feeding the livestock.
Gohar lives with her husband in Spitak town. Their children are married and live separately with their families. Gohar and her husband are farmers. They run a small farm which includes a cow and three calves, as well as a plot of land where they cultivate potatoes. The land is small; therefore, the gathered potatoes are for family use only. By applying for this loan of USD 2,000, Gohar would like to purchase fertilizer and forage for feeding the livestock. She has taken a loan from local financial institutions before, but because of very difficult financial conditions, wasn't able to pay it back on time. Now, by ensuring that her farming business is successful and she is able to provide monthly payments for this loan, Gohar has been approved for this loan. She has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second-chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
