Mutiara Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy three piglets and also feed.
Mutiara Group's story
For a housewife in Bali, it has become commonplace to have pigs at home. They are used to support the family’s income other than the husband's income. Apart from the farming business, something else that could help meet the needs of daily life is to raise livestock, especially pigs. In development, there are several obstacles faced in developing the business, such as limited knowledge of business management, as well as limited access to capital. To overcome this problem, they decided to join into one group so it would be easier to communicate among members of the group, and the group could more easily get funding. Ni Nengah is head of the Mutiara group and runs a pig breeding business. To increase the business, Ni Nengah invited group members to participate in loan programs for small businesses from MUK. Ni Nengah’s loan will be used to buy three piglets and the rest to buy feed. In a period of six months, pigs are ready for sale. The advantage gained from this effort will be used entirely to support the family economy.
