Maura's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase materials to make clothes for sale.

Maura's story

Mayra is 50 years old. She is an expert in sewing. Her neighbors prefer the detailed finish that she gives each garment. She lives with her two younger children. Already at university they also have helped her with her work. Her husband also collaborates to take her to different locations to deliver goods or to buy raw materials. She’s a strong woman and she’s responsible for the previous credit payments. She began her work seven years ago, with a small loan given to her by the Fundacion Mujer that enabled her to buy a sewing machine and raw materials. Generating more money in order to continue buying the different machines she has today. Currently she does not have sufficient working capital to invest in raw materials and thus is asking for this line of credit with the aim of making clothes out of the fabrics she purchases. Dona Mayra has a small workshop in her house, but lacks the space to enlarge it. She currently has five sewing machines and no space to cut her materials. Hopefully she can expand in the future.
