Tara's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to increase water filter sales and provide access to safe and affordable drinking water.

Tara's story

Tara is a 24-year-old university student in his 9th semester living in Pontianak on the island of Borneo in West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. He is pursuing a degree in information technology and pays for his studies by selling Nazava water filters. This loan will help Tara to get enough stock to sell water filters to 4 different districts in the state of West Kalimantan. This is the second loan provided to Tara. The first loan helped him to build his business and to build partnerships with governmental organizations and businesses. Tara will continue to focus on selling water filters in rural areas in West Kalimantan, where people need them most. Many of those places can only be accessed by boats that cross dense rain forests and remote rubber plantations. Such travels are not without danger. Tara will be setting up demonstrations on rural markets in multiple villages to raise product awareness and sell the water filters. A loan for Tara truly means a win-win situation for Tara and the communities that buy them: villagers get clean, affordable drinking water and Tara makes enough money to continue his university studies.
