A loan helped to purchase fruits and vegetables to sell.

Tupendane Kongowe Group's story

Athumani is a father of two children who are still in school. He is in his early thirties and for five years now he has made his living by managing a genge business--commonly known for selling fruits and vegetables. He works from 10am to 10pm every working day and is able to make a small monthly profit. This is Athumani's twelfth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania, which he will use to purchase fruits and vegetables to sell. Athumani successfully paid back his previous loans, which he used to improve his business by maintaining his daily demanded stock. He earned extra income, which he used to pay for some of his house building expenses and cover school fees and home expenses. He is really thankful to everyone who has shown interest in his group. Athumani dreams that one day he will be able to be a successful business man. He will share this loan with his loan group "Tupendane Kongowe", which has four members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
