A loan helped to purchase different varieties of metal for expanding her husband's jewelry business.
Chanchala is only 26 years old. She is married to Khudiram and is a housewife. They live in the small town of Dhupguri in the district of Jalpaiguri in their own house. Chanchala has a secondary education and her husband attended school up to grade 8. They don't have any children. Chanchala 's husband is a jewelry trader. He prepares different types of ornaments and jewelry made of different metals and sells them at the market and in his neighborhood. The products he sells are very popular in his locality, especially among women, who usually come to buy new jewelry from him. His products are all made of different metals like silver, brass, copper, and bronze. As he has about 15 years of experience in this field, he is doing well in his business also thanks to the effort he puts into his work. He would like to diversify the products such as earrings, bracelets, rings, bangles and more. But he can't save much money from his income after covering their household expenses. Chanchala is a hardworking and enterprising lady. She wants to help her husband in his business. So she has taken out a loan from BJS to purchase different varieties of metal from the wholesale market. It will help to expand their business so they will be able to earn more profit to fulfill their dreams. Chanchala is grateful to her lenders for the loan and gives her thanks to BJS and Kiva.
