Danaya Group's loan finished fundraising,

A loan helped to buy potatoes.
Danaya Group's story
Group Danaya’s four members are married women, who are on average 43 years old with three children. Most live in traditional families in Hamdallaye, one of the popular neighborhoods of the city of Sikasso, in the third administrative region of Mali. To meet customer demand, this is their sixth loan with microfinance organization Soro Yiriwaso. In this group of women, Mrs. Aoua trades in potatoes. She is standing in first position from the left to the right in the photo. With her loan, she is planning on purchasing ten 50-kilo bags of potatoes; she gets her supplies from the market. She retails from home and in Hamdallaye, to a mixed-gender clientele. She takes cash and grants credits. She is expecting an average monthly profit of 40,000 XOF, part of which will be used to pay back her loan with interest, with the rest going to her savings.
