Manos De Trabajo Group's story

The lending group "Manos de Trabajo" (Working Hands) is composed of 8 members - 7 women and 1 man - responsible mothers and fathers with 15 children between them. These group members are from Malpaisillo, located in the western region of the country and characterized by its hardworking and responsible people. Unfortunately, the majority of the members of this lending group were unable to study due to limited econmic resources. Currently, all are fighting to provide a better future for their children. Thanks to her hard work and effort, the coordinator of this group has a business raising and selling pigs from her home. She works 10 hours a day. Currently, her goal is to buy more pigs to raise. The "Manos de Trabajo" group is very grateful for KIVA lenders who offer low income borrowers in poor countries such as Nicaragua the opportunity to have dignified work.
