Hamoule's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy at least 15 sacks of groundnut seeds to sort out and resell.
Hamoule's Group's story
This group is made up of women who are very active in their income-generating businesses and their Banc Villageois, which was set up on 14th October 2010. They all come from the same village and get on well together. Their main activities are small trading businesses and farming in the rain. Hamoulé (who is sitting on the far right of the photo with her right hand raised) is the star borrower of the group. She is 30 years old, married and mother to five children (three boys and two girls). She buys groundnut seeds from farmers in the villages and sells them to traders at the weekly markets. With this loan she is planning to buy at least 15 sacks of groundnut seeds to sort out and resell. The profits from her business will enable her to help out her husband to pay for their children's school fees and food.
